Breaking Through to Your Personal Genius

The creative mind works in what may be seen as mysterious ways. First of all, how it works doesnt make any sense, rationally.

The best creative ideas seldom happen when you are trying to create them. They most often occur when you have identified an area you need an idea for, then walk away and do something unrelated.

Then, the subconscious starts finding an answer for the question you posed. And at a completely unexpected moment, here comes the answer youre looking for.

Mark Victor Hansen of Chicken Soup for the Soul fame offers a great suggestion to people looking to understand their purpose in life. He suggests sitting quietly for 15-minutes, twice a day and ask the question, If I knew what my purpose in life was, what would it be?

Lo and behold, after doing this consistently, an answer will spring into your mind at some point. It may happen right away or take several days. The point is, by asking the question and then sitting quietly in a contemplative state; in a short time you will have your answer.

Heres a BIG secret that you may not know.

Capture your ideas on paper. Ideas are like air. They float around and through you all the time. Breathing is the way we capture air to sustain our life. The only way to capture ideas is to write that snippet of information down.

In Simpleology, we use a Dream Catcher and a mental lock box. You can use a pad of paper, journal or notebook. The point is to keep your ideas in one place.

When you have captured your subconscious thinking on paper you can refer back and use these ideas when you are ready. Ideas are the lifeblood of any business. Capturing and using them is the quickest way to get from where you are to where you want to be.

Here is how to generate ideas and capture the genius of your subconscious mind.

1. Sit quietly for 10 to 15 minutes every day. Dont think. Just allow your mind to relax and be receptive to inspiration that occurs.

2. Start your contemplation by focusing on one challenge you would like to solve. Ask it in the form of a simple question. Example: What is the best way for me to grow my business?

3. Ask the question, and then let it go as you sit in quiet contemplation.

4. As inspiration strikes, capture the idea on paper.

5. When you feel complete with your contemplation time, go back to your desk and plan an action step; with a date and time for execution and use the idea you discovered.

This is the easiest way to Tap Into Your Genius and use your personal brilliance to accomplish everything you have ever wanted in your business and life.
