Short-Circuit a Workplace Affair

The workplace now ties with the internet as the #1 place for cheating husbands and boyfriends to find willing partners with whom to have an affair. A survey by a private investigation firm showed that of all of the times for a spouse to initiate an affair with a co-worker, Its most likely to occur at a work-related social event. This is prime time for an emotional affair with someone at work to turn into a sexual affair. If hes had his eye on a co-worker, or has been bonding with her all year, an office party or company picnic is when hes most likely to make his move. A few drinks may give him enough confidence to make his approach -- especially if youre not there.

Keep Predatory Females at Bay

A VAULT.com study found that nearly half of the American work force has been romantically involved with someone at work. Another reason to attend the company picnic with your spouse or significant other is to make your presence known. Any co-worker has designs on him, will be less likely to make a play for him with you there. Female employees will be less likely to respond to advances from him, if they know hes already attached. Your being there could keep a budding workplace romance from turning into a full blown affair.

Keep Him from Sneaking Off for Sex

Its fairly common for employees to sneak away from company-sponsored social gatherings to have sex. In one survey 33% of workers admitted having sex with a colleague at a company-sponsored social event. In a survey conducted by Men's Health magazine, 44 percent of the males said they'd had an affair with a co-worker at an office party of social function at some point in their life. Your presence at the company picnic or office party may help keep his libido in check.

Avoid Alcohol-Induced Affairs

Alcohol can be a major contributing factor, since it has a tendency to encourage inappropriate behavior. With alcohol flowing freely, one drink too many can lower his inhibitions to the danger zone. Infidelity could be just a couple of cocktails away. . Fortified by a few drinks, he could get himself into a compromising position. Your being there might keep him out of trouble by discouraging him from doing something he may later regret.

If you Suspect a Workplace Affair

What if you suspect that your husband or boyfriend is already having an affair with someone one at work? Attending a company picnic, office party or other company sponsored social event with him will give you an opportunity to find out if what you suspect is true. Knowing what to look for is the key. If hes romantically involved with a co-worker, their body language or their behavior toward each other will give them away. If youre observant, you can find out the identity of his lover by the way he behaves in her presence, or by how she acts around him.
